I was born in Portland, Oregon, the second of two children, to wonderful and loving parents. My family moved to the San Francisco Bay Area, and I attended Catholic schools in Belmont and Mountain View. Growing up, my older sister and I had our fair share of "differences" but in the end we always looked out for each other, and today are great friends. We see each other often, and it's great to see her become such a wonderful mom to her three children. I was very active in sports growing up, and played baseball, basketball, football, soccer and track throughout grade school and high  school. I then went on to get my degree in Business from California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly) at San Luis Obispo.

One of my most exciting adventures in college was when I participated in a program called Semester At Sea. For an entire semester, a group of college students lived and studied on a ship as we sailed around the world. We spent time in 11 different countries, including India, Russia, Spain, Malaysia, China, Japan and Turkey. My favorite country was Egypt where I rode camels and visited the ancient pyramids. This trip had a profound impact upon my life. I learned so many valuable lessons, how lucky we are to live in a free country, how what we do every day can make a real difference in the world, and how to respect other people and their cultures. I look forward to encouraging my kids to experience this same type of educational
adventure.

I am a Vice President and Partner in an Insurance  Broker Firm in San Francisco. Fortunately, I have an office ten minutes from home, which allows me flexibility in my work schedule to balance family life. My hobbies include sports, sports and more sports! I enjoy golfing, playing basketball at our local gym and softball on Sunday nights in the local men‚s league. I can‚t wait to take my kids to see the San Francisco Giants play, and teach them all about baseball!

Fatherhood has definitely changed the way I view my priorities, and I make sure to spend quality time with my family as much as possible. I absolutely LOVE being a dad and am very excited to be adding to our family through open adoption!
