   We We met through work in 1998 and quickly became friends. We began dating and not long after that found ourselves deeply in love and planning our wedding! Dan proposed on a gondola in the beautiful city of Venice, Italy. It was truly a scene right out of a movie. Since becoming a family we have learned so much more about each other. We are so proud to be parents and both list being a loving family our number one priority. The laughter and the smiles we share when Grace does something silly are priceless! Some of our favorite activities before becoming parents were dining at restaurants, traveling around the globe, and taking Baker, our Labrador retriever, to the park or on long walks. Now, our dinners out include high chairs and lots of Cheerios and our traveling consists of day trips to parks to ride the swings and play in the sandbox! We still go on our walks but they're now equipped with a stroller or tricycle and a giggling daughter! Needless to say, we LOVE and treasure every one of these family adventures!  FAMILY TRADITIONSWe love the holidays and have had a wonderful time sharing old family traditions and creating new traditions since we have become a family. Our favorite tradition is our annual Christmas Eve "crab fest". Each Christmas Eve, all of our family and friends (usually more than 20 of us!) gather at our home for all the crab they can eat! Before dinner we play games with the kids, such as Musical Twister or our own special version of Pictionary. After dinner, we sit down and open gifts. Watching the kids open and enjoy their gifts is the best part of the day! |
